After a cancelled Emilia Romagna Grand Prix due to floods in the region, Formula One came back to dominate the streets of Monaco. The race comprised a total of 78 laps. The race saw a confident Fernando Alonso almost outshining the dominant run by the two-time world champion, Max Verstappen however this was affected by their pit stops and choices which the two made amidst wet weather conditions.

The race event was won by the reigning World Champion, Max Verstappen, and it was also Red Bull’s Verstappen who was sitting in pole position. Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton set the fastest lap of the race whereas Red Bull’s Max Verstappen alongside Fernando Alonso as well as Esteban Ocon were sitting comfortably on the podium, with Fernando Alonso being the runner-up and Esteban being the second runner-up.
