2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Debrief

The Grand Prix was met with immense excitement and anticipation, with thousands of local and international fans gathering to witness the spectacle of Formula One racing.

Formula One invaded the streets of Saudi Arabia as it held its second race weekend, which was officially dubbed the F1 STC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2023. The event was held on the 19th of March at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.


Going into the weekend, Max Verstappen led the World Driver’s Championship with 25 points, 7 points ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez, who was second, and 10 points ahead of Fernando Alonso, who was in third place. 

The Red Bull Racing Team continued its dominance in the grid, firmly establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with, F1`s favourite to be crowned the 2023 Constructors Champions. Of note, Alonso continued with his impressive runs, consistently finishing in third place, making him the sixth driver to have scored 100 podiums in his F1 career, ahead of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.


The pole position was captured by Sergio Perez of the Red Bull Racing team, whereas the fastest lap in the race was won by Perez’s compatriot Max Verstappen.
