Rebirth for HAAS as USA's Team debuts F1 2023 season

HAAS' return to F1 will prove to be a game-changer in the 2023 season, as they enter the race with fresh minds, creative ideas, and unprecedented ambition.

In October 2022, the US financial company MoneyGram announced a partnership with F1`s only American team, Haas. As a result of the partnership, entering the 2023 F1 season, the team will be known as the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team.

The Haas team has been singing a different tune since their debut in 2016, holding two launch events per season, the first being a presentation of their apparel, a move to take advantage of the pre-season hype, and the last one taking place on the opening day of pre-season testing when they reveal their physical car to the public. On the 31st of January, the MoneyGram Haas Team held their first event, unveiling their updated car and a fresh paint job. This also included a new driver, Nico Hulkenberg, pairing up with veteran Haas driver Kevin Magnussen.

Red and white being the corporate colors of MoneyGram would mean they would be incorporated into the next-generation car alongside the MoneyGram emblem. With MoneyGram being at the core of the team, the company's logo covers both the front wing and engine cover, and also where the numbers of the two drivers have been positioned. The VF-23 has a black base with white features and red highlights. 

The F1 pre-testing season will be held from February 23-25 in Bahrain and Haas’s new car will be revealed. The American team only released digital imagery of their updated color scheme, and they will run a shakedown of their VF-23 car at Silverstone on February 11 ahead of pre-season testing in Bahrain.

MoneyGram Chairman and CEO, Alex Holmes, expressed his joy at this partnership between Haas and MoneyGram. He added that the newly developed apparel is the result of combined efforts and tapping into the unique strengths of the two global enterprises. With so much anticipation of a new trajectory for the team, a clear vision and plan have been devised. This will ensure that efforts for a continued partnership between the organizations will be consolidated. The brand-new design solidifies MoneyGram's place as a force to be reckoned with.
